You always put your family first, and for that I thank you.

I remember many family vacations waiting by a phone booth while you conducted business.

Remember making "Murphy" calls so your family knew when you arrived someplace... long distance was so expensive.

Your blog was right on and an enjoyable read about us "old-timers" adjusting to modern technology. One great positive of the email/texting communication link is that they eliminate the need of those pesky voice mail messages and lots of telephone-tag wasted time. And now I carry with me on my cell pone my issues of The New York Times, The New Yorker, NPR, and virtually an unlimited list of publications and other media. And I'm even getting my fat fingers trained to send text and email messages from the cell phone. (But you should stop reading those messages while walking and remember that you don't have to answer every text/email immediately.)
