We were switching back and forth between a rerun of Jane Austen's "Emma" on PBS and the game so I missed Aquilera's glitch last night but heard it this morning. [There must be some kind of teleprompter system for talent known to freeze in stressful situations.]

I have a bigger problem with how she sang the song. Why can't people just sing it? If they don't like it the way it is, refuse the offer. Like tortured food--a great steak, wonderful chop that's over sauced/spiced and mucked with so the chef can give it a trademark twist--certain things are better executed plain and simple.

"Like tortured food..." Great analogy, Jeanne. Some of today's singers put so many flourishes in their singing that it takes away from the beauty of the song. Maybe too uneducated ears, the flourishes sound impressive. To me, it's, like you said, too much sauce.

    Hey David!

Totally agree with you, why is everyone picking on Christina??!!!

    via Facebook...

The reason Christina was the media focus...she dumped her husband and kid, hooked up with some new dude and has been drunk and out of her mind on a loooong bender!!! See, even though I'm not a Hollywood publicist anymore, I still get all the dirt!!!
