I saw a headline the other day that stopped me --
Subscriber sues over paper cuts
Was this another case like the woman who sued McDonald's because she burned herself when she spilled her hot coffee on her lap while trying to drink and drive?
Not quite. Turns out the story was about a subscriber suing his newspaper, The News & Observer in Raleigh NC, which announced it was laying off 70 staffers and cutting the number of news pages.
The paper's executive editor had this to say in response to the suit:
"We've had some really good papers recently, and they're
worth more than the 36 cents a day that Mr.___ is
paying us ... He can work with my lawyer and figure out how much he's
going to pay me for the excellent coverage."
Enjoy your weekend.
