    David,

I turned to Fox last night hoping to hear sense only to watch Lou Dobbs curl his lip in disgust, roll his eyes and denounce the Republican lawmakers who called out DJT for his subversive words. Before he showed the clips, he snarled that they were "RINOs"--Republicans in name only. I couldn't watch more.

One of the pundits last night suggested that top ranking Republicans plan an intervention--I assume in the style of what is done by family and friends when an alcoholic is spinning out of control. Sounded good at first but DJT has listened to none of those with more experience so I doubt the success of such a move. I also fear that to work it would have to consist of a room full of senators and house members and that will never happen. Not as long as the base still gives the man a pass.

I didn't think that they would or could but they are. I feel more worried than ever.

A WOR newsman who is a DJT supporter said this morning that he'd "misspoken." Huh? The president blamed the reporters who kept bringing up the witch hunt. A person commenting on Facebook said she didn't care if DJT was disloyal to the country, it was good he was trying to be friends with Russia and she hated Clinton and Obama. [The non sequitur was hers].

Even a few glimmers of light didn't make me feel confident that something will be done.

Newt Gingrich's reaction: "President Trump must clarify his statements in Helsinki on our intelligence system and Putin. It is the most serious mistake of his presidency and must be corrected—-immediately."

The Daily Beast reported that Fox & Friends' Brian Kilmeade, this morning, told the president that he "got it wrong when he backed Putin's denial of Russian interference in the 2016 election over the evidence-based conclusions of his own intelligence services." It's one of DJT's favorite shows.

A friend, last week, asked her congresswoman "What can I do to help?" The answer: "Pray." I am.

    David Reich

@ Jeanne -- Praying can't hurt, but we need some more action -- like donating whatever you can, helping with calls to voters in red or swing states, and just continuing to speak up. This cannot become "normal."
