    great article, david. all true. years ago, i considered trump one of NY's great success stories. now, his need for attention, his extremist views, and his reinforcing his belief anyone can be bought, are just pathetic. hard to have any credibility when everything you do is basically just a stunt. his hair used to be the joke. now (as in your words) it's his willingness to look like a fool.

    He reminds me of a child in a big family who, when he/she feels lost in the shuffle either does something outrageous to get attention or holds his/her breath until a purple face alarms everybody.

    I never did cotton to the flamboyant school of PR and marketing. He never was a model for me.
