    Pay Per Click

If you think about it though, that's how many newspaper, magazine, and bilboard ads have been for years. You barely notice them and seldom act on them. Now I realize online ads are ignored even more, but for the comparative cost it balances out doesn't it? Placing an ad in a newspaper or a magazine typically will cost more than a facebook banner ad or a Google PPC ad. So if you compare dollars spent to effectiveness, the equation might balance out. But then again, my statements aren't backed up by facts, so I could be off.

@ Topher (PPC): You raise a valid point here. But so much of the talk these days is about online advertising.
