    David - I know what you mean. Usually the titles on the covers are enough to satiate my appetite for the gossip news, so I go ahead and skip the buying part. :)


    All I have to do to get all the gossip news is to listen to my daughters when they talk to each other. Much more fun than these pubs any way. And you're so right about raising newsstand prices as the country moves into what increasingly looks like a recession. Poor timing to say the least. And have you looked at the newsweeklies: In the second half of 2007 vs. the same period in 2006, Time's newsstand sales plummeted by 19%, Newsweek's by 16% and U.S. News 8%.

    Gossip! Not to interested, including reading headlines at the grocery store. But an interesting thing happens on the way through surfing TV channels--I pause at every entertainment show for a minute or two. Pretty intriguing stuff.
